Amazing stay for 5 days Monday until Friday. Very expensive to buy food there etc so would recommend buying food before hand or even ordering for for the cabin. Would stay again
The ideal retreat for a family or friends weekend. Lovely wood cabins with a hot tub in the middle of the forest. Pet friendly with access to some great walking trails. I've been here three times, once for my dad's 70th, my partner's birthday with friends and now for a girl friends 30th birthday. Would highly recommend if you want a relaxing weekend.
Great accommodation lovely staff and shop/cafe on site. Would recommend the kids ranger experience my 6 yr old loved every second. Was a little disappointed that there were no family friendly cycle paths closer to the site if I recall correctly the nearest was 15 minute drive away, not massive but would have been nice to have not had to load the car up to get there.
The cabins are lovely and everything you could possibly need. Hot tubs are cared for daily. Forest of Dean its self is stunning too. The reason Ive marked down is after staying more than a few times we re visited with an electric car. Promised a charge but on arrival there was just one, blocked in by cars not charging. One very kind member of staff moved the vehicles for us. However the charging point was not compatible with our car. When I asked if we could use our own portable charger and plug it in from the cabin, no help was offered. We hadnt actually checked in because we were slightly early. I asked if I could upgrade the cabin as it wasnt close enough parking to the car, the staff said yes fine 50.00 amendment fee plus the upgrade charge 94.00 in total. Needless to say I didnt bother. We couldnt charge for our entire stay. The site was over half empty so I have to say Im disappointed by the staff and management, they lost an extra 44.00 and a regular customer.
Just got back from our annual holiday here - love the place People are friendly and it is definitely a dog friendly place! Hot tubs are checked daily and discreetly. Underfloor heating is fantastic.Only improvement needed is the amount of pot holes on the way round Will be back for 4th time in 2019
